The legacy MFA solutions, focused only on security, have little concern for the burdensome and intrusive user experience. The Wikipedia definition states “access is granted to a website or application mechanism after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence for an authentication”; these steps must be performed by the users themselves”. Search for a touch-free MFA process has been the “Holy Grail” of the MFA community. Authen Digital touch-free and passwordless is the long-awaited solution. MSP’s, Administrators and network managers have a constant concern for breaches by unauthorized users with bad intent. This is also important from a general site management perspective. Within A Zero Trust environment, credentials presented at initial logon and cashed are not acceptable for subsequent elevations; time-wasting re-verification of the user/device is required. The Authen Digital patented technology initially involves scanning, encrypting and storing physical characteristics of the users’ devices in the Authen Digital cloud-based vault. At each log in, the users’ devices are re-scanned, to either grant or deny access with no involvement by the users themselves- either at initial log in or subsequent elevations.
This touch-free aspect is important for all users, inconvenienced for years by time-wasting inputs of phone numbers, virtual tokens and personal questions. Simply measuring the cost of, possibly billable, user hours is justification enough!
